Item listed is a genuine antique embroidery sampler. This beautiful 1920 era sampler depicts a man and woman, two trees and three floral bouquets. The color and balance of design are exquisite. The writing is clearly stitched and reads "Remembrance is the sweetest flower** of all this world's perfuming ** memory guards it sun or shower ** friendship keeps it blooming". The sampler was created by someone with the initials CMC in 1929. This sampler is in the original frame and it has the original glass and backing. The sampler is slightly yellowed thus it shows typical signs of wear. The black back portion of the backing has chipped off in some places however this can be reframed or replaced if you wish. This would make a lovely gift for someone who appreciates early 1900 era keepsakes and/or items procured with beautiful craftsmanship. Measurements: Approximately 13.5" high and 10.25" wide
